SalonBiz - Creating "Web" Versions of Services.

We recommend creating duplicate “WEB” versions of your services in SalonBiz, so you can set the SalonBiz service price to the price you sell the appointment for on WebOpenings. This will allow for a seamless checkout process. If you choose to use your existing SalonBiz services there may be a discrepancy between the amount of money WebOpenings collects, and the amount of money being sold by WebOpenings in SalonBiz. If you do not choose to create “WEB” services, you can prevent a discrepancy by manually adjusting each WebOpenings booking according to the discount used when the appointment was booked.

To create a “WEB” version of your service simply add the word “WEB” to the beginning of the service in SalonBiz i.e., “Web Women’s Haircut”

You should price the service in SalonBiz service to match what you intend on selling it for on WebOpenings. To start, we generally recommend a 15-20% price reduction, as these incentives will only be made available if the appointment is unfilled close to its start time, and if it doesn’t occur during a day you consider a peak time.

If you have a level system, a service will most likely vary between providers. You can treat your WebOpenings services just like your standard SalonBiz services by assigning provider specific pricing.

We recommend offering a slimmed down version of your suite of services. WebOpenings isn’t a replacement for your online booking system so there is no need to include a comprehensive list of all your service.

Guide to set up Web Openings in SalonBiz Central

Location Settings

  1. From SalonBiz Central™, click on Admin, then go to Online Booking.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click on the location you wish to edit
    • Check the Enable Web Openings box
    • Set the Web Openings Request Reason to Web Openings.
    • Set the Online Cancellation Reason, if not previously set for Online Booking. (* This reason will be used for both Online Booking and WebOpenings cancellations.)
  4. Click the Save Changes button when you are finished.

Service Settings

  • From the Online Booking Settings screen, click on Services.
  • Click on Edit.
  • In the Web Openings column, place a check mark next to each service you wish to allow booking for via Web Openings.
  • Click the Save Changes button when you are finished.

Staff Settings

  1. From the Online Booking Settings screen, click on Staff.
  2. In the Web Openings Locations column, click on the location for which you wish to manage staff availability.
  3. Click on Edit.
  4. Click the Power Button on each staff’s picture to allow or disallow booking via Web Openings.
  5. Click the Save Changes button when you are finished.
